Executive Director

Valda Claiborne oversees all functions of United & Empowered Care and its Directors. She provides vision and direction for the company, which has resulted in growth and expansion in the past 16 years in business. Valda also works within the community to advocate for providers and the rights of the individuals served. She has worked extensively in this industry for years and has a wealth of knowledge and experience.

School/Training: Texas Southern University

Fun Fact: I am a spiritual educator, horseback rider, fashion designer, and dancer who gives back to the community.

Simone Roberts, M.S., CCC-SLP

Co-founder | Speech-Language Pathologist

Simone is the Co-founder of UE Children's Services and a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Loyola University Maryland, where she also earned her bachelor's degree. With over five years of clinical experience, she specializes in autism spectrum disorders and early language development.

Driven by a deep passion for helping children communicate and connect with the world around them, Simone is committed to creating meaningful, individualized support for every child and family she works with. She considers it a privilege to be a part of each child's journey and is continually inspired by the small but powerful milestones they achieve together.
